You can apply to be part of the National Police Podcast Network. Shows need to be family safe and have a minimum of 5 episodes published. Shows are required to maintain an active show to be part of the network.

Your email address will be added to a network mailing list in which you can ask questions. Shows are required to promote the National Police Podcast Network and should link to the site from their home site.

Shows are also encouraged to cross-promote other shows in the network.

What is the National Police Podcast Network (NPPN)?

The National Police Podcast Network is a curated collection of podcasts produced by, for, and about those who serve in public safety—including law enforcement, firefighters, EMTs, corrections, dispatch, healthcare professionals, and more. The network is powered by the National Police Federal Credit Union and proudly amplifies voices across the public safety landscape.

What kind of shows are accepted?

We welcome podcasts that are relevant to public safety professionals, either directly or thematically. This includes:

  • First responder wellness and mental health

  • Career insights, training, or leadership in public safety

  • Law enforcement, fire, EMS, or corrections-related content

  • Real stories from the front lines

  • Public policy, justice, or community relations discussions

  • Financial wellness for those who serve

  • Family, support, and life outside the badge

Note: Shows should demonstrate professionalism, align with the NPPN mission, and be free of hate speech, harmful misinformation, or unethical content.

Do I have to host my podcast with Blubrry to be included?

No. Hosting through Blubrry is not required, but it does simplify some aspects of cross-promotion and syndication.
We’re happy to work with shows hosted on other platforms as long as you can:

  • Provide access to your public RSS feed

  • Update your podcast artwork to include the NPPN badge

  • Publicize your involvement with NPPN on your show and promotional materials

Is there a cost to join NPPN?

Currently, there is no cost to be included in the network.
However, podcasters must agree to:

  • Participate in cross-promotion efforts (ex: sharing other network shows, trailers, or mentions)

  • Add the NPPN logo to your podcast cover art

  • Publicly share that you are a proud member of the NPPN

These cooperative elements help all members grow together.

Do I still own my show?

Of course! You retain full ownership and copyright of your podcast and all related intellectual property.
NPPN is a platform for amplification and collaboration—not ownership.

Can I remain on other networks or platforms?

Yes. NPPN is a non-exclusive network.
You’re welcome to remain on or join other podcast networks, directories, and platforms.

Will I be required to release on a specific schedule?

We recommend consistency for audience growth, but NPPN does not enforce a fixed release schedule.
Whether you publish weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or seasonally, you’re welcome—as long as your feed is active and updated regularly.

Will my show be promoted by the NPPN?

Yes. As a network member, your show may be:

  • Featured on the NPPN website

  • Highlighted in National Police Federal Credit Union newsletters and social media

  • Included in cross-promotional ad swaps or campaigns with other shows

  • Spotlighted during events like National Police Week or Public Safety Wellness Month

How do I apply to join NPPN?

You can submit your show for consideration by submitting your show HERE. Please include:

  • Your podcast name and RSS feed

  • A brief description of the show

  • A link to your website or host page

  • Your intended audience and episode release frequency

What support does NPPN provide podcasters?

While this is not a production or marketing agency, NPPN provides:

  • A growing network of like-minded podcasters

  • Cross-promotional opportunities

  • Branding support (logo, artwork guidelines)

  • Access to a peer group for collaboration and shared learning

  • Potential sponsorship connections via NPPN sponsors and partners

If you require additional support we are happy to connect you with the right resource. Fees may apply, depending upon the extent of the support needed.

Can new podcasters join or is this only for established shows?

Both are welcome. If you’re just launching a show that fits the NPPN mission and audience, we’d love to talk with you. We’ll even provide launch guidance and branding support to help you get started on the right foot.
