EP 88: Prayer for Protectors

October 29, 2026

In this episode of the Proud Police Wife Podcast, we’re joined by the co-founder of the Protector’s Prayer, Megan Menster, to talk about the power of prayer, keeping faith at the center of law enforcement, and what the Protector's Prayer actually means. Whether you’re an officer or a police spouse, this conversation will remind you that you’re not alone and that prayer matters.

As mentioned in today's episode, a perfect prayer for police families that is displayed in my home is the Protector's Prayer.

The Protector's Prayer was created for the men and women who answer that call, and the families who pray for them, support them, and wait for them to come home. It also makes the perfect gift for National Thank a Police Officer Day coming up on September 19th.

I was able to secure my Proud Police Wife community 15% off at checkout with code PPW15. It’s the largest exclusive community discount Protector’s Prayer offers.

EP 87: SOLO PARENTING DOESN'T MEAN SINGLE PARENTING

September 17, 2026

You may see us doing it solo, but it doesn't mean we are alone.

Today we are diving into solo parenting and what that really means for law enforcement families.

The phrase "solo parenting" is something I struggled using in my content for years because I didn't want to give the impression that my husband was not involved.

So we are diving in for how my perspective changed and what parenting truly looks like for our family and how it can look for yours.

EP 86: The Ministry of Being a Police Spouse

August 25, 2026

The everyday sacrifices, encouragement, and quiet acts of service that a police spouse does can all be part of a greater ministry. While your acts can sometimes feel mundane, they are part of something bigger. In this episode, we’ll reframe what it means to be a police spouse and discover how God can use even the unseen, ordinary moments for His purposes.

Prayer is one of the greatest ways we can support those who serve, that's why I’d love for you to check out Protectors Prayer.

The Protector's Prayer was created for the men and women who answer that call, and the families who pray for them, support them, and wait for them to come home. It also makes the perfect gift for National Thank a Police Officer Day coming up on September 19th.

EP 80: Special Episode: Bible Reading for Beginners

October 06, 2025

This episode is a very special one. In September, I shared on my Instagram stories that if anyone would like to know Jesus and does not have a Bible, that I would like to send them one for free. The response was incredible and hundreds of people received Bibles.

Once Bibles were received, many, many questions rolled in about how to start reading the Bible. Where do they start? Do you read it front to back? What version of the Bible is easier to understand? How much should I read? And many, many more questions.

In an effort to answer these questions, I asked my Pastor, Pastor Patrick Allen, to come on the podcast and answer many of these questions for you all.

If you have more questions, please ask them!

EP 70: What your agency might not help you with: w/ Joan from Fetch Your Wealth

March 03, 2025

When Joan’s husband, Greg, a police officer, EMT, and firefighter of 26 years was injured on the job resulting in a traumatic brain injury, she thought they had proper plans in place. However, she quickly realized that worker’s compensation and the pension plan were NOT enough for her family to be financially secure. She encourages others by sharing her 6 year journey of paying costly out-of-pocket medical bills totaling more than $55,000, maxed out credit card debt, receiving no reimbursement, getting a diagnosis, and all the unexpected pitfalls that came her way in the process while raising 2 small children.

As a CPA, Joan learned how to leverage the tools she uses in her business to survive this challenge. She went from being a stay-at-home mom with a part- time accounting firm, to supporting her family with a full-time business that specializes in financially serving police and first responders who feel uncertain about their future - whether they are healthy or disabled.

On this episode Joan details her and her husband's story and how she persevered during and after her husband injury on the job.

Raise your hand if you have ever had a heated discussion as your spouse is walking out the door, just getting home or (gasp) while they are working?

Friends, this is more common than you may think. And this episode is not to make you feel bad, but instead give us the reminder on WHEN we should have discussions with our spouse.

Shift work, the conflict they see on the job, and hypervigilance don't always make it easy, but in today's episode I share some realities on how to make communication a bit easier when married to a first responder.

EP 52: Travel Deals for Law Enforcement Families

October 07, 2023

If you are a law enforcement officer or family, then I don’t have to tell you twice that police officers experience high levels of stress and negativity on a regular basis. It is not only healthy to take regular breaks away from the job, it is recommended.

Law enforcement officers are susceptible to burnout and one way to avoid this burnout is to take vacations regularly.

And if you are spouse reading this, then you can even let the officer in your life know that there is actual research showing that regular vacations away from home, reduce burnout, high levels of stress, and improve overall health.

That's why I brought owner of Heroes Travel, Andrew Kish and his fiance´Jala Gross, on the show to share about their travel agency that caters to law enforcement families. They are passionate about serving the law enforcement community as Andrew is a police officer himself and they know how important it is to have a stress-free vacation that can save you money.

If viewers or listeners (that’s you!) mention Proud Police Wife or The Proud Police Wife Podcast, you will get a 2.5% pre-tax value rebate. Rebate will come after the vacation is completed.

How to contact Andrew at Heroes Travel:
You can text or call him directly at 520-553-8625

EP 51: Giving Law Enforcement the Appreciation they Deserve

September 14, 2023

There are a few designated days throughout the year given to show appreciation to law enforcement.

Many times, those days get confused or forgotten.

In this episode, I share with you when those days are, what they mean, and ways that you can give law enforcement the thanks they deserve.

Law enforcement deserves our support and the least we can do is recognize them although they never expect it.

August 25, 2023

Well, yes, it is a job, but it is a career choice that has great impact on the person serving in that career and often times, impacts the family, as well.

Joining us today is Cyndi Doyle. Cyndi is a licensed professional counselor, speaker, founder of Code4Couples, the podcast and website for law enforcement couples, and author of Hold the Line: The Essential Guide to Protecting Your Law Enforcement Relationship.

Cyndi shares her story of being a law enforcement spouse (retired), about her career as a licensed professional counselor and how she decided to start sharing her knowledge to help other law enforcement couples.

Today’s interview is brought to you by Shieldbox. Shieldbox is the #1 police subscription box designed for law enforcement. Each month Shieldbox curates a box full of duty gear and supplies that prepare you for the job. Check out their Standard or Pro boxes at www.theshieldbox.com.
